We’d like to congradulate Turtle Folk on their first full length release of Higher Plan, The Trainwrecks on their second kicking album Saddle Up, Niche on birthing the rocking So Be It and the soon to be released full length by Soap.

The studio has been buzzing all spring and summer and we’re excited about all the stuff we’ve recently wrapped up and what we’re working on now. The Eric Culberson record is in final mix tweaks this week, The Trainwrecks are one session from wrapping tracking, The Byron Hatcher Band is in the mix phase and we’ve wrapped up some more mixes for the Savannah Music Festival radio show Henry Butler, Sarah Jarosz and Kathy Mattea.
Kevin and Shane have started tracking the new Turtle Folk album and wrapped up the basic tracks last weekend. Wormsleow is back in tracking a single with their new line up and we’re working on mixing tunes for Julie Wilde for her upcoming release. At the end of July Soap comes in to start track an LP with talk of new Unnamed and Niche records gearing up in August and September with Scary at the helm.
The summer hasn’t been all good news at EBS, we would like to say goodbye and godspeed to our good friend (and neighbor) Dan Sprecher who lost his battle with cancer this month. Dan was an amazing man, his taste in music was second only to his sense of humor and we’ll miss him greatly. Only a rock drummer and amazing man like Dan could turn 3 months into 7 years of living. We’ll miss you buddy.
It’s been a busy spring, we’ve been churning out mixes of live concert recordings for the Savannah Music Festival and making some fine LPs and Eps in the process. We’re happy to be a part of the Save Nashville Series and hope to see all of you at one or all of the concerts benefitting the hard hit musicians of Music City.
In May Miles tracked and mixed the new Magazine Avenue record which is as infectous as it is fun. Scary and Kevin have been working on the Convict Fiction EP and the finishing touches are being put on the much anticipated Eric Culberson Album. the Byron Hatcher Band are in the midst of wrapping up tracking and a new Wormsleow single is in the works.

I recently heard a track from Culberson’s forthcoming studio CD, and the combination of his blistering, bluesy electric guitar and a new, more rock ‘n’ roll approach to song structure, well, it was just phenomenal…
We are digging the way Eric’s record is coming out too!
It’s been a busy spring here at EBS we’ve completed EPs for Cusses, Julie Wilde and the Bohemian Band, Mass Plastic, Shoestrings and are currently in the final stages of tracking of the Trainwrecks second album. At the mix stage April will be all about Eric Culberson’s new disc, an acoustic platter from Jefferson Fox and a slew of amazing shows from the Savannah Music Festival.

The fall has been busy at EBS, we’ve had some amazing sessions and many great times with some amazing artists. Rocktober saw the tracking of Unnamed, Black Tusk and Dead Yet? with Scary at the console. Tracking continued on the Eric Culberson and Trainwrecks albums, they’ve been busy playing gigs and we’ve been squeezing sessions in when we can, the one thing we can guarantee is that it’s gonna be well worth the wait.
During the middle of rocktober we finished up Jeff Shroeders first cd and started pre-production on Eric Britt’s new project. Rod Gonsalez laid down an EP worth of rhythm tracks in record time and we loaded up April Kelly’s tracks so we can finish overdubs and mixing on her solo debut. ... Read more.

Plenty of stuff happening at EBS these days, we’re excited to have Chris “Scary” Adams join us as the newest EBS engineer. He’s already been working on Damon and the Sh*tkickers demo and assisting on several other projects. Welcome Chris, awesome to have you aboard.
This summer some great stuff kicked off: Eric Culberson started his new record, the tunes and performances are surpassing the high bar Eric set on his last two records. Matt Wesley from Wormsloew has been working on a solo record and we’ve both been bringing in a great cast of characters to augment his songs and multi-instrumental abilities. September also saw the kick off of the Trainwrecks second record and as usual they tested our abilities to track a well heeled hard working band live off the floor like the Stones used to. 16 basic tracks in under two days! ...
